Walking into the Vision!
A set time, God's purpose and plan in us and for us.

A set time
There is a time and a place for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. According to the Book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, verses 1–8 (New International Version or NIV), I recommend reading the entire chapter for full understanding.
There is “a time to tear down and a time to build” (Ecclesiastes 3:3b), and “a time to be silent and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:7b). As I reflect on these verses, I realize that this is where I find myself today—walking through yet another time and season that God has so generously blessed me with. Thank You, Jesus!
It is a time to build and a time to speak. It is time for me to render not just the gifts and talents that come easily, but to rise to the next level of the gifts, talents, and abilities God has placed within me. It is time to take off the training wheels and ride this thing out—God’s plan for my life.
Now is the time to put into action all the training and teaching, all the plans, ideas, dreams, and aspirations—for the vision God gave to me. It is time to walk out the vision (with fear and trembling). I say this because if it were my own plan, I would just go for it, relying on hard work and perseverance—no problem. But walking out God’s plan for my life—the one that has always been within me, the one I know and feel but no one else could see, feel, know, or understand—that brings a seriousness and a sense of responsibility. I don’t want to mess it up.
But if I pray and wait on the Lord, if I follow His plan and leading, I will be fine. Not perfect, but fine.
Well, enough about me. What has God placed inside of you? Have you discovered your hidden treasure? Or does it remain undiscovered? That hidden treasure is your “thing”—your purpose—for God’s plan to be accomplished on earth. We all have one. We were created with purpose and for a purpose.
I believe if you ask Him, He will reveal your purpose to you (Proverbs 16:3, KJV) when the set time comes for you to contribute to His Kingdom work. God is very strategic, and His plan will be carried out. So don’t beat yourself up if you haven’t discovered it yet—or if you’ve discovered it but haven’t yet put it to use or found where it fits into the larger picture. Just remember, in God’s perfect timing, He will show you what you need to know (Habakkuk 2:3, KJV).
What do I do while I wait? Waiting does not mean doing nothing. There is always work to be done. As you serve—whether in your local church, community, home, job, or wherever your sphere of influence, gifts, abilities, and talents take you—you will begin to see that God has been preparing you for this work your entire life.
Take a moment to reflect. You’ll find clues in the breadcrumb trail behind you, called “life” and all its experiences. If you look closely, you will also see the footprints of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as He carried you through the cares and snares of life, keeping you all along the way.
Take that in. Let yourself feel the gratitude for it all. Give yourself permission to shift your thought process into a positive position, and let your mind be transformed.
If you take a moment to be present—right here, right now—you will receive God’s peace that surpasses all understanding (John 14:27; Hebrews 4:11; Philippians 4:3–11; James 5:13–16, KJV). You will also begin to feel and know that He has been praying for you (Hebrews 7:25, KJV), even as you rest in Him, give Him your burdens, and be still (1 Kings 22:3; Psalm 4:4; 46:10; 84:4; Isaiah 23:2; Jeremiah 47:6; Mark 4:39, KJV).
Remember, God’s Word says He will work all things together for your good. Romans 8:28 (KJV) reads:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Remember that God loves you unconditionally. Please do try to remain in His will so that He can use you.
The operative word here is try—make a true effort. It doesn’t mean you’ll get it right every time, but aim in that direction. It is like medicine to your bones when God begins to use the things He deposited inside of you—when He uncovers your purpose and reveals His plan for your life.
That is the moment you must seek your instructions from God. Gather the information, make the plan, and walk into the vision.
Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV):
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Be blessed! Remember to pray every step of the way and wait to hear from God—He will direct your path.
I’ll see you all next week to continue this message on walking in the vision. May God’s peace, joy, and love fill your hearts and families. May you find unity in the Body of Christ and in your homes. May you find rest in the arms of the Lord.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen and Amen.
Let God work through Your Heart, you will be amazed by and at the outcome!
